Penryn College: An amazing planting event – Mission Update!

Thanks to all that attended the Penryn College Planting event for the new technology area.  Over the week the garden has been constructed and last saturday a large group of students, parents, brothers, sisters and members of the local community came together to complete the technology for plants section.

The group planted herbs, a range of vegetables and fruits and flowers in raised beds that will really fill out over the last half term of the school year.  This is going to  enable students to take home fresh fruit and vegetables to cook at home as well as the food technology students designing menus around the seasonal produce available.

Here are some of the pictures showing the construction of the garden itself. Our next event will be the planting of the other side of the technology garden to include the plants for building, textiles, cure and care.
