Anglia Ruskin University’s Roots & Shoots society flew a giant Peace dove to mark our international day of peace. The society joined in with the celebratory walk, from Ely cathedral to Jesus Green in Cambridge. The walk was organized to celebrate the 900th anniversary of the diocese of Ely as well as the 800th anniversary of Cambridge University, as well as to acknowledge the lasting relationship between the two institutions.

The 10:10 campaign aims to bolster grassroots support for tough action against global warming ahead of the key global summit in Copenhagen in December.

Those signing up to the campaign pledge to make efforts to reduce their carbon footprints by 10% during the year 2010. Individuals and Groups committed to the cause include politicians, celebrities, artists, football clubs, galleries, schools, universities and trusts.
