CSCC’s Cooperative Planting Event for a Greener Future - Mission Update!

Posted on March 31st, 2010 by Agent Lambert

After several weeks of cold dry weather, it is always a bit disappointing to feel the rain, especially when you are supposed to spend the day outside. This is how some of CSCC students must have felt when they got up one Thursday morning.

However, the wet start of the day did not dampen their spirits when they joined forces with students from both Redruth and Pool Schools and started their ecological event.

Pembroke School’s Eco Project - Mission Update!

Posted on March 31st, 2010 by Agent Sanderson

Pupils at Pembroke School have been very busy learning about the environment and what we can all do as individuals for the environment and each other. Pupils have been looking into the following areas, Bio-diversity, Energy and Conservation as well as healthy eating.

This week pupils have been busy building willow windbreaks, levelling ground and measuring vegetable plots for the community garden. Coleshill Infants’ School Celebrates Earth Day - Mission Update!

Posted on March 31st, 2010 by Agent Earp

We highlighted Earth Day by organising a Mufti day at school. Everyone took part, including pupils, staff and even our chair of governors! During assembly we talked about ways of reducing pollution and saving energy. Everyone agreed that we should use cars less, walk more or at least car-share. The younger pupils used fluorescent paints and crayons to make bright pictures to highlight Earth Hour.
