St. Helens K.S. 3 Summer Update Animals
The students decided to improve upon their designs from last year to produce more bird houses and a large ‘Buginham Palace’ insect haven on site at school and natural habitats at the allotment. Students completed the construction during technology lessons and then filled the pallets with dry leaves, twigs and small branches. Students were also encouraged to take some of their habitat creations home to fulfil the wider community aspect of Roots and Shoots project.
Project to Benefit Animals
The students gave a day of their timetable to Turbary Woods Owl and Bird of Prey Sanctuary, www.turbarywoods.co.uk helping to feed and exercise the birds of prey.

Help us keep our resources free!
All of our resources are currently free and you can help them to stay that way and support the other work of Roots & Shoots in the UK by making a donation, no matter how small. The easiest way to donate to the Jane Goodall's Roots & Shoots programme UK online is by using Virgin Money Giving. This can be a one off donation for any amount you want (every pound helps!) or if you prefer you can set up a regular, monthly donation.
