Crompton House CofE School

We all had a great time from start to end. We met up on Shaw Station where we caught a train at half past six in the morning, which was a tiny bit early for me. That then took us to Victoria Station where we caught a taxi to Manchester Piccadilly, then an early train on to London Euston. This took around three hours to get there but we busied our selves talking and discussing the day ahead of us.

The Roots & Shoots group has been running for 5 years.

This year a lot of the focus has been directed towards cancer awareness. £700 was raised for Marie Curie. A garden was dug over to spell the word HOPE and the children planted daffodils in the word, so that they would bloom every spring. Additionally a book of memories was written and printed – full of the memories of children that had been affected by cancer.

A Wildlife garden is also coming together nicely in the schools garden.

£300 was raised to sponsor animals.
