How does Roots & Shoots: Mission Possible work?

Set in an alternate reality where Dr Jane Goodall is “Chief Agent J”, head of a secret organisation, Roots & Shoots: Mission Possible provides sets of activities for teachers to use both in and out of the classroom to encourage pupils to learn about people, animals and their local environment.

The Who, What and Why of Roots & Shoots

The Roots & Shoots programme is about making positive change happen – for our communities, for animals and for the environment. With tens of thousands of young people in almost 100 countries, the Roots & Shoots network branches out across the globe, connecting youth of all ages who share a common desire to help make our world a better place. This powerful, youth-driven network fosters a fun, flexible and supportive environment where young people come together to share ideas and inspiration, implement successful community service projects and participate in special events and international campaigns.

How is Roots & Shoots funded?

Roots & Shoots is a charitable organisation that is funded through donations. You can help to support the work of Roots & Shoots in the UK by making a donation, no matter how small. The easiest way to donate to the Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots programme UK online is by using Virgin Money Giving. This can be a one off donation for any amount you want (every pound helps!) or if you prefer you can set up a regular, monthly donation.
