Why Get Involved?

There are all sorts of reasons for getting involved in Roots & Shoots. Most importantly, doing a Roots & Shoots project can make a big positive impact on your local environment. Check out the write ups of completed projects to see what people have been doing recently.

If that’s not enough to spur you in to action, then it’s also worth considering that Roots & Shoots projects are a great way to work towards an Eco-Schools Award.

As well as the Eco-Schools Awards, every completed project that is posted on this website will be eligible for our own Roots & Shoots awards, with a chance to meet Dr Jane Goodall herself. You can check out the report of the 2007 awards here.
