On Saturday 23 March 2013 at 8:30pm, millions of people across the globe will be switching off non-essential lights in business premises and in homes for one hour – Earth Hour. From a single-city initiative in Sydney in 2007, Earth Hour has since become a global phenomenon that saw participation from 153 countries across every continent in 2012, becoming the world’s largest voluntary action for the environment. Some of the world’s iconic buildings and monuments stood in darkness as a powerful symbol of this landmark environmental action.
We invite you to join us in what promises to be an amazing and inspiring global celebration of our collective commitment to the planet.??Switching off lights for the hour is just the beginning.
