What is Teach Earth?

teachearth_c-abi-jermain-9_4311_5031Teach Earth is an exciting UK-based programme for educators. It centers on a fully-funded six-day residential programme during which teachers work alongside scientists researching the impacts of climate change on UK forests.

Applying their learning from the research, teachers will explore the role of education in addressing global challenges and develop plans to raise the profile of environmental issues inside and outside the classroom. Teach Earth trains teachers to integrate environmental literacy and innovative, enquiry-based learning into their teaching, helping to engender a connection to and passion for nature in the students that they teach.

Teachers of any subject from UK secondary level maintained schools are invited to apply to take part in this unique initiative. If you have any questions, please contact Earthwatch on 01865 318860 or send an email to
