Peace Day Roots & Shoots India

This year in India Peace Day was celebrated in Chennai. There were more than 2000 participants including the Commander of the Coast Guard, Additional Director general of Police, Coastal security Group and students participating at the event. The celebration was combined with the Coastal Cleanup day at the beach, since TREE Foundation is inspired and guided by Dr Jane Goodall, DBE. The Sea Turtle Protection Force members also celebrated in their respective villages involving the children in about 17 fishing villages.
