Roots & Shoots Winter Newsletter and the SJNCC Fair Trade Group

At the end of term the Fair Trade Group were asked to write an article in the winter newsletter for the charitable organisation; Roots & Shoots. The Fair Trade Group were asked to outline how SJNCC became a Fair Trade School, how they have raised awareness and funds for the Fair Trade Foundation and their future plans. The Fair Trade Group were asked to write a piece on the importance of Fair Trade as a result of their frequent and interesting updates on their Roots & Shoots blog.

Jasmina Marcheva, the Assistant to Executive Director of Education for the Roots & Shoots charity said the following of the SJNCC Fair Trade Group; “I absolutely love the updates you put up! And that the whole School is Fairtrade. The students are doing so much, it is lovely to see and read, and so inspiring!”

If you post a story about your school's work here on the website you will be eligible for a Jane Goodall's Roots & Shoots Award and the chance to be invited to this year's awards ceremony to meet Dr. Jane in person. You can write about your experiences completing one of our activities or anything else that your school has been doing to help people, animals or the environment.
