RSPCA Sponsors Most Outstanding Group Award at Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots Annual Awards 2017

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) has been looking out for animals, since 1824.

Their vision is to work for a world in which all humans respect and live in harmony with all other members of the animal kingdom.

Every day, with the help of their members and generous supporters, they take steps to achieve their mission. From rescuing a stranded deer to changing the law.

The Most Outstanding Group Winner will have the opportunity to see behind the scenes at the RSPCA’s animal hospital in Mallydams Wood in East Sussex, by spending a day with the vets and carers, who make such a difference to the lives of animals in need across England and Wales. Mallydams Wood is RSPCA’s premier wildlife rehabilitation centre with an award winning education centre!

After a short briefing and introduction to the site, the winners will be given a tour of the facilities and be able to see exactly what it takes to be an animal rescuer. The Group will have the opportunity to put together case studies of the animals in care and meet an inspector who will inspire them with tales of rescue.

It is a fantastic opportunity for these young people to experience and get an insight into what is takes to help our Wildlife and to learn how to protect it!!
