Dulwich Prep London – Eco Warriors reflect on this term’s club

The boys in our Pre-Prep Eco club looked back on what we had learnt in Roots & Shoots’ Animals   activities. We learnt about animals in our local environment and how to care for them to help conserve the species. Mr Elliott, who runs our school’s Beekeeping Club, came along to talk to us about why bumblebees are under threat. We learnt to recognise and name local species of birds and made bird feeders. We designed and made a Bug Hotel for our Pre-Prep garden and invited our Headmaster, Mr Roulston, to come along and officially declare it open!

The boys rated these activities highly and were so excited that many went home and made their own bug hotel and bird feeders for their gardens and took their families out on bird-watching walks. They were all awarded with a special Roots & Shoots certificate for helping to make the world a better and happier place.

We are hoping to inspire a next generation of conservationists!
