Damers First School – Young Enterprise Fiver Challenge Product, Waxtastic No Plastic

The Eco Reps and Entrepreneurs have come together to form Damers Eco Enforcers and are entering the Santander Young Enterprise Fiver Challenge for a third year. This year they have come up with a product called Waxtastic No Plastic. Waxtastic is a piece of 100% cotton material dipped in beeswax and dried. It is used as an alternative to cling film to wrap or cover all foods except meat. The beeswax makes the product antibacterial. It can also be washed with soap and water and lasts for up to a year. It is a 100% eco friendly product.

Damers Eco Enforcers created a questionnaire to gather information from potential customers about pattern and coloured material, shape and price They have also worked with Nick Morris, a Graphic Designer from Wallis Agency to come up with a logo for their product. Damers Eco Enforcers were announced as winners of Best Logo for the first weekly compeition of four. They won a £50 Amazon voucher for the school. https://www.fiverchallenge.org.uk/2018/06/15/winners-of-week-one-competition-announced/
