Damers First School – Plastic Free Dorchester. Letters to Schools and Businesses

Damers Eco Ambassadors are leading a campaign for Dorchester to achieve Surfers Against Sewage Plastic Free Community Status. They have the support of Dorchester Town Council, Dorchester BID, Litter Free Dorset and Sir Oliver Letwin MP. The children wrote letters to all the Headteachers of schools in Dorchester asking them to sign up to Surfers Against Sewage Plastic Free School Status. They also wrote letters to all the businesses in Dorchester asking them to give up three single use plastics or find three alternatives instead. The children will be doing a presentation to community organisations in December as well as a presentation to 70 businesses at a Dorchster Chamber for Business Breakfast in February 2019.
