JAGS Winter Update

We had a busy end of 2020 here at JAGS.

Here’s what we were up to:

  1. We had Wear Green Day on Friday 27th November, raising money for the Woodland Trust.

2. Hosted a webinar with Patrick Holden from the Sustainable Food Trust on 25th November – the link is here: https://vimeo.com/48444988

3. We have committed to becoming a Zero Carbon School with the Let’s Go Zero campaign.

4. We took part in the Youth Climate Summit November 9-13. https://www.transform-our-world.org/events/youth-climate-summit-2020 . In particular, I would like to highlight a film that our very own Senior School Eco Leaders put together on “Practical Ideas Of How To Reduce Waste”, showcasing the fantastic clothes swap they ran last November as well as the interactive Charity Shop Map they created, along with top tips for shopping secondhand and reducing food waste.  We also had ex-JAGS pupil on a Careers Conversations panel. Anna Brightman, is Co-Founder of UpCircle Beauty, a sustainable beauty company that makes beauty products from coffee waste.

We have great plans for 2021 and hope to get to accomplish them all.
