St John The Baptist CofE Primary School – In Touch with Nature Project update

St John the Baptist CE Primary School are planning on improving our outdoor provision for the children and local wildlife.

We will be adding two ponds to our site; A wildflower meadow; Vegetable growing plots; A sensory garden.

Here is a map of the proposed project.

Things have been challenging, but we have made a cracking start on our Roots & Shoots project. Photos below – one shows the installation of a pond, another is of our sensory garden and the third shows the growing beds that we have created ready to start the planting in the spring.

We are very much looking forward to the day when we get all the children back into school and we can get them all outside, learning about nature and growing their own fruit and vegetables.
