The school grew pumpkins with enough for each class to have one each. Each class choose what to do with their pumpkin from carving and making a soup or roasting the pumpkins to taste. The children learned about food waste and the effects it has on climate change.
To help promote ‘Streets Alive Dorchester’ and celebrate International No Car Day, we chose to bling up our bikes and scooters in the theme of colour. It was amazing to see so many children making an active journey to school and enjoying showing off their decorated bikes and scooters to each other on our courtyard.
We have been using U-Fill the first ever refill gluestick at Damers First School for the last 12 months.
