The schools is setting up a bird camera so that the children can see the hatching of chicks in the bird boxes. They have a productive garden with vegetable sales. The school is very focused towards being environmentally friendly and sustainable.

The Roots & Shoots program has been introduced to the school through art to both the kids and their parents, who have made banners with their Roots & Shoots pledges attached. The school has been working on a regular basis with the local Wildlife Trust centre, indentifying plants and animals. Children have written letters to local businesses to ask them to stop using plastic bags.
The school have been sponsoring a Gorilla named Djeke. A spell-a-thon was held which raised £1000 for Mencap as well as holding a teddy bears picnic on sports day, raising money for Macmillan.
