Sir Oliver Letwin MP came to Damers First School to present and help the children plant three tree saplings as part of the Queen's Commonwealth Canopy. The children planted a rowan, a hazel and a silver birch. The Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy (QCC) is creating a network of forest conservation initiatives across all 53 Commonwealth countries to mark Her Majesty's lifetime's service to the Commonwealth.
