Peace Day at Solihull Prep

To mark World Peace Day, we created beautiful dove-shaped messages of kindness. Each pupil wrote an unexpected, positive message and delivered it anonymously, allowing the recipient to enjoy the special feeling of being noticed and appreciated without knowing who it was from.

We chose doves because they are a worldwide symbol of peace. We discussed how peace often begins with small acts of kindness, respect and understanding towards those around us. By sharing uplifting messages, we hoped to spread happiness throughout our school community and remind others that even the simplest words can make a meaningful difference.

It was wonderful to see how a small gesture could brighten someone's day and strengthen the sense of kindness and connection between us all. We also thoroughly enjoyed taking our learning outside and writing our messages in the new quad, where the fresh air and outdoor setting made the activity even more enjoyable.

"Peace starts with kindness, and kindness starts with each one of us."
