Pond update
Our primary aim for our allotment plot was to create an amazing habitat for wildlife.
Over the past 2 years, we have been excited to find frogs, newts, snails (lots!), dragonflies (and nymphs), spiders and birds, using our pond as their home, food and water source, and finally this year, we have had our first deposit of frogspawn!!
Unfortunately, we don’t have any tadpoles yet, but we have been so excited to see the habitat improving to the point where our resident frog (and froggy friend!) has decided to lay frogspawn there. Our dragonfly nymphs are getting bigger, and we can’t wait to hopefully see them climb out and hatch when they are ready! We love to see local birds drinking and bathing in the pond, and we are going to start putting out our wildlife cameras to see if any other animals are visiting our pond after dark!
Watch this space!
