'Sustainabull'!
As a school, as part of the ‘Bulls in the City’ Art Trail, we decided to create a bull design with the theme, ‘Solihull and Sustainability’ and launched an art competition to create a colourful bull design!
As you can imagine, we had hundreds of entries from Nursery up to Year 6, so we decided to incorporate ideas from every year group across the school. Fantastic creativity was seen; from fingerprints in school colours, to a mighty oak tree, to a bull in school uniform and horns & hooves painted in navy and maroon stripes!
We only used reused paint, colourful recycled supermarket bags and fabrics, and even repurposed an old school blazer, hat and tie to complete our design.
One of our pupils, Tom, came up with the name ‘SustainaBull'! We all thought this was ingenious, and here he is!
Don’t you think he looks amazing? He will be located for all to see in the prestigious location of the Birmingham Library over the summer.
The overall design embodies our personal mission to make our planet a better place for people, animals and the environment!
