We made tote bags out of old T-shirts
At the Paragon School, we have been making tote bags out of old, donated T-shirts. We were inspired to do this because of the fact that when clothes are too worn to go to a charity shop or be hand-me-downs, they often go to landfill, but we've tried to stop that cycle!
First, we asked our school community to donate their worn-out clothes. Then, we transformed them into tote bags. The next time there is a school event (for example, the May Fair), we will sell them and donate the money raised to charity.
This is helping to stop textile waste from ending up in landfills, which is bad for the environment and animals. It is our wish that this will help humans, animals and the environment.
