Roots & Shoots is all about encouraging and enabling young people to help people, animals and the environment. There are Roots & Shoots groups all around the world, and it all started 25 years ago when Dr Jane Goodall set up the first ever Roots & Shoots group in Gombe, Tanzania. This activity is all about relating the work that your students carry out in their local area to the work of the Jane Goodall Institute in Tanazania, particularly in the Greater Gombe Ecosystem, where Dr Jane Goodall started working back in 1960.Read more about and download this activity »
