The National Climate March (http://www.campaigncc.org/) and Global Day of Action (http://www.globalclimatecampaign.org/) are during the UN climate talks in Poznan, Poland. This year’s UN climate talks are CRITICAL as they’re our last chance to really influence the outcome of the talks - and make sure we have a really strong Post-Kyoto agreement. The agreement will be finalised next year in the Copenhagen UN climate talks, but most delegates will have chosen their position by then.In London we'll be marching to Parliament, bringing four main demands to the UK government:
- NO to runaway expansion in aviation
- NO new coal - no new coal-fired power stations
- NO to the expansion of agrofuels
- YES to a renewable energy revolution and more green jobs!
Please encourage as many people as possible to come with your own banners, costumes etc on one of these themes......A cycle protest will be joining the march, starting at Lincoln's Inn Fields at 10.30 am see more at: http://www.campaigncc.org/bikeride.shtmlAn after party will be held at the Synergy Centre in Oval, London on the evening of the march. We’re looking for stewards for the march – if you want to help out, please e-mail stewards@campaigncc.orgSee you there!Global Climate Campaignwww.globalclimatecampaign.orgTel: +44 (0) 207 833 9311Cel: +44 (0) 7905 312 163
