Roots & Shoots Group “Green Life” in Frankfurt

An invitation to bees, bumblebees and other foodies who are in need: ?In the garden of the Praunheimer Werkstaetten, a sheltered workshop for mentally handicapped people, the Roots & Shoots group "Green Life" in Frankfurt has prepared a "Slow Food Buffet" for them. Bees and other insects gratefully accept the invitation by the international R & S Group, which consists of 6 members: Helder from Portugal, Jessica from Italy, Philip and Sandra from Germany, Mehmet and Emre from Turkey, and one staff member of the Social Services, Nancy Nahas, the good soul of the project. The group first started with potting and seeding of kitchen herbs. Meanwhile, it grows wild and colorful. An insect hotel and many other ideas are planned. We started this first indoor planting project last spring with a variety of herbs. On 04th May 2013 the group was invited to attend the preview of Dr Goodall’s film "Chimpanzees". These show the group in a Frankfurt cinema, where they were asked by Monica and Lorenz (from JGI Germany), to come on stage and receive their personal R&S certificates.
