Making bird boxes

This year, we started our sessions by building bird boxes to take home and put up in our gardens.

The children worked tirelessly to put together their bird boxes, resulting in 17 new homes for birds in our local community. Some members took them home for their own gardens, while others gifted them to family or friends. However, all 17 boxes provide habitats and a safe place for birds to build their nests, raise their young, and be protected from the elements.
