Featured Activity: My PET project

recycling codes and logos on plastic bottlesThis activity is one of our Reduce, Reuse & Recycle Activities and is all about the great things you can make from old PET bottles. We use them every day, but plastic PET bottles like the ones used for bottled water, fizzy drinks and toiletries can cause harm to wildlife and take hundreds of years to decompose. So as well as using fewer of them, transforming them into something else that's useful prevents them ending up in landfill. This activity has plenty of interesting ideas, and encourages you and your students to raise money for charities such as 'Liter of Light', an organisation that converts old PET bottles into ceiling lights for disadvantaged people around the world. Read more about and download this activity »
